THE WEBSAFE PLATFORM DEDICATED TO MIGRANTS IN THE WESTERN BALKANS PUBLISHED

An online platform dedicated to providing information to migrants traveling through or residing in the Western Balkans was launched!

The project Information measures and capacity building on asylum, legal and irregular migration in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Western Balkans (IKAM) released an web platform entitled WeBSafe in April 2022. The platform contains a website, and a web and smartphone application (available for iOS and Android), aiming to be a reliable source of information for migrants traveling through or residing in the Western Balkans region. WeBSafe provides emergency contacts, information on available assistance and asylum procedures in the region, and it will be updated on a quarterly basis. The platform is available in 8 languages, including Pashto, Arabic, Bengali, Farsi/Dhari, French, Kurdish, Urdu, and English.

WeBSafe was developed by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in cooperation with migration management stakeholders from the Western Balkans and was funded by the European Union AMIF fund and the Government of Austria.
